EP #93 Ben Millet

This podcast is a bit of a sombre podcast for us here at the Pub Emo podcast,It’s a bit different to what we usually do.

We sit down and have a chat with the leg up for a legend Ben Millet

 

Ben has been delt a shitty card and has been diagnosed with stage four terminal Bowel cancer.

 

Ben's not big on how much time he has left, but what he’s big on is, what he does in his time that he has left. 

 

He’s got an awesome family around him who love him to bits, his partner Nelly was the winner for the Leg up for a legend initiative we put Forward here at the Pub podcast a month or so back.

 

Ben nominated Nelly as she was his rock from the first day of diagnosis, quitting her job to become a full time carer for Ben, Just remember, this is a job that you can’t get funding for, this is a job run on pure love.

In the couple of days we spent with them we could see what type of people they were and they were definitely our type of people.

 

So sit back and just have a bit of a listen about Ben’s journey through this whole process there’s a bit to take in and if you get anything out of it, like Ben says get yourself checked more often and don’t throw those bow screen notices in the bin .
